Electromagnetic Induction Heating VS Traditional Heating, Which One Is More Energy Efficient?

For the heating industry, there are several heating methods, the most energy-efficient one is electromagnetic heating. The principle of electromagnetic heating is derived from the electromagnetic induction phenomenon discovered by Faraday, that is, the alternating current generates an induced current in the conductor, which causes the conductor to heat up. In the traditional heating industry, resistance wire heating methods are mostly used. However, this traditional heating method is usually not thermally efficient. The resistance wire is heated by itself, and then transfers heat to the medium, thereby heating the item. The effect of this heating effect is only about 50%, and the other 50% is converted into other energy, which is lost in the air.

Electromagnetic induction heating generates a magnetic field through electric current, which causes the metal pipe to generate heat, prevents heat dissipation from the pipe, and avoids heat loss. The thermal efficiency is up to 97%. The electrical effect can reach 50%, but considering the different types of electromagnetic induction heater controllers of different brands, the energy conversion efficiency will be slightly different.
